Pre-2011 JCT contracts

The current edition of JCT's suite of contracts is the 2011 edition. This edition complies with the law in England and Wales, incorporating the changes made to the Construction Act which came into force on 1st October 2011.

However the JCT 2005 edition (revision 2 2009) is still available to purchase through JCT's resellers.

Other outdated contracts including pre-2005 JCT contracts are no longer in print, but can be purchased through Docdel. For enquiries on pre-2005 JCT documents please email sweetandmaxwell.Docdel@thomson.com

Important note for contract users in Scotland and Northern Ireland

Changes to the equivalent legislation came into force on 1 November in Scotland. Users in Scotland should refer to www.sbcconline.com regarding the SBCC 2011 suite.

Users in Northern Ireland should continue to use the JCT 2005 suite until the equivalent legislation comes into force in Northern Ireland (expected to be late 2012).
