Vice-Chairman of JCT

JCT Council has appointed Mr Neil Smith, Operations Director of Equion PLC, as its Vice-Chairman as successor to Mr Francis Ives.  Mr Smith's period of tenure will run from 1st September 2004 until 31st August 2007.

The JCT Povey Lecture

The JCT is pleased to announce that the JCT Povey Lecture will be held on Wednesday, 13th October at 6.30 pm at the Royal Institute of British Architects.  This year's lecture will be entitled 'Risk - yours, mine and ours - what is happening around the world' and be given by Professor Roger Flanagan, a director of Skanska AB and the Halcrow Group.

The Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) is the industry’s foremost contracts producing organisation. It produces standard forms e.g. standard construction contracts, standard building contracts and subcontracts for the construction industry. JCT 2005 suite of contracts includes JCT - Constructing Excellence Contract : Partnering Contract, Framework Agreement, Major Project Construction Contract, Standard Building Contract, Design and Build Contract, Intermediate Building Contract, Minor Works Building Contract, Repair and Maintenance Contract, Collateral Warranties and Partnering Charter.
